Annandale Terrace Elementary school is nestled within the Annandale Community. Since its opening in 1965, Annandale Terrace has thrived to provide students with learning opportunities that foster social, emotional and academic growth.
At Annandale Terrace, we promote the FCPS Portrait of a Graduate skills by encouraging student's development as communicators, collaborators and critical and creative thinkers throughout the school day through workshop style instruction, real world application and technology as common components of the core content areas.
In addition to developing our students as thinkers, learners and collaborators, we also understand the importance of being an ethical and global citizen, with character development as the cornerstone of building positive and productive citizens. Our students demonstrate Cougar Pride by treating themselves and others respectfully and responsibly, which enables us to consistently thrive for collective excellence.
Our goal is to focus on learning, while maintaining a school environment where students feel the intellectual, emotional and social safety to take academic risks. Annandale Terrace families, our community and staff are committed to ensuring excellence and equity for all our students. We take collective responsibility for all of our students by working collaboratively with our families to ensure that all Annandale Terrace students become lifelong learners, who are prepared for the educational journey that extends beyond elementary school.
