School SummaryOak View Elementary School is centrally located in Fairfax County, allowing its students to benefit from the many resources located within a short distance from the school. Oak View is generously supported by the PTA in terms of volunteers who work with students both during and after school hours to help students achieve their academic potential. This cooperative spirit ensures that realistic expectations are maintained and human resources are fully used.
The Oak View staff strives to empower students to achieve academic success, lead productive, fulfilling lives, and demonstrate responsible citizenship. We envision our students will become active, responsible members of our society. To realize this vision, students will participate in community activities to affect change within our school, neighborhood, and the larger community. Teachers will draw from students' experiences, strengths, and interests to drive instruction. The students will develop positive self-concepts, social skills, and healthy life styles.
