School Summary

Since its opening in 1979, Fox Mill Elementary School has maintained a reputation for fostering academic excellence in a nurturing environment with strong community involvement. As you walk through the doors, our visitors, students, and families feel a sense of warmth and excitement, as well as a strong sense of belonging.

The mission and goals for Fox Mill Elementary are developed through collaboration among teachers, parents, and administrators. School wide priorities emphasize student achievement with a focus on 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. We work to help guide students in their development as peaceful problem solvers, responsible citizens, and global learners. Student technology skills are mastered by an integrated approach throughout the curriculum.  Fox Mill's talented staff is committed to delivering an instructional program that launches children on their journey as lifelong learners. This is achieved by establishing high expectations and developing and implementing innovative programs that support our global goals. All of our students experience inquiry based instruction through our STEAM program which accommodates their different strengths and learning styles. This program is taught in our new Innovation lab. which supports students as lifelong problem solvers through the utilization of the engineering design process. Our advanced math program offers a multi-level, fast paced and challenging curriculum that progresses to add more above grade-level standards each year. Another program available at Fox Mill is our Japanese language partial-immersion program for grades 1 through 6, which also draws students from outside the school boundaries. This optional program gives students the opportunity to acquire the Japanese language through the instruction of Math, Science, and Health. Social Studies, Language Arts, and all Specials are taught in English.

An active PTA enhances the instructional program by offering cultural arts experiences, field trips, GRACE Art, Mad Science, foreign language experience (FLEX) program, chess club, Odyssey of the Mind, Reflections, and countless hours of volunteer support.

Fox Mill Elementary is proud of its academic success, parental support, and programs that enrich the lives of all our students
