School Summary

At South County High School, students have opportunity and access to academic challenge in every major discipline through our regular, Honors and Advanced Placement courses. The central focus of the curriculum is to provide all students with the intellectual, social and ethical tools that will allow them to fully and successfully participate in the knowledge of a global society. South County recognizes the importance of students successfully transitioning from high school to a wide range of post-secondary activities, including employment, military, career and technical studies, as well as community and four year colleges and universities. Our goal is to prepare students for their future educational and career experiences.

South County High School is a lighthouse school for the use of technology. The integration of state of the art technology resources enriches curriculum, instruction and assessment in all facets of the school. The entire staff shares responsibility for the learning and success of all students. Our work is strongly supported by the SCHS Parent, Teacher, Student Organization (PTSO) and the various Stallion Booster Club organizations. Students, staff and families take great pride in contributing to and sustaining a great South County school community.
