Graham Road Elementary School is a vibrant public school that provides a rich, rigorous academic program differentiated to meet the needs of every child. Ours is a culturally diverse, child- and family-centered community where collaboration among families, teachers, and the broader community is valued and nurtured. Our mission is to inspire students to achieve academically, to think critically and creatively, to learn independently, and to become ethically responsible citizens within a diverse and dynamic community.

At Graham Road we fully embrace the belief that all children can achieve at high levels. We prepare students for a successful and productive future by nurturing student success in a positive, inclusive, challenging, enriching, and stimulating academic learning environment. Our school-wide implementation of Responsive Classroom practices supports student academic, social, and emotional learning so that students experience success in school and develop the skills needed for success beyond Graham Road. We strive to recruit and retain only the most highly qualified, dedicated staff members who have a passion for working with our wonderfully diverse student body. Our skilled staff members work collaboratively to support student success, and our collaborative learning team (CLT) structure provides regular, scheduled opportunities for teachers to work together to design and implement a highly effective instructional program. Staff members actively embrace an inclusive instructional model through which teachers plan and teach together to support rigorous, differentiated, student-centered instruction for all students. Staff members constantly seek out new knowledge, learn new skills, and develop new strategies to support effective, innovative teaching and assessment.

At Graham Road we enjoy and celebrate our students, families, and community. We invite partnership with parents and actively involve them in supporting their children's education and school life. We believe that the more families are involved in our school, the more enriching the educational experience our students will have. Our PTA works closely with staff to help provide additional educational experiences for our students and plan community events that benefit all of our families. Graham Road is truly a learning community.
