Cunningham Park Elementary School is located in the Town of Vienna approximately ten miles west of the nation's capital. It is a warm and friendly community school that serves a diverse student population.

Cunningham Park is committed to implementing the concept of a professional learning community with emphasis on establishing a collaborative teaching culture within the faculty. Teachers work closely in grade-level teams with specialists to explore best practices for maximizing student achievement.

Students learn in a safe, caring, and positive learning environment that stimulates intellectual curiosity, fosters a commitment to lifelong learning, strives for excellence in academic achievement, and promotes strong character development. The goal of Cunningham Park School is to educate the whole child and help students prepare to become productive, contributing citizens. We believe in the shared partnership of the school, parents, and community in achieving this goal.

An active PTA continues to support the instructional program by offering cultural enrichment programs, field trips, foreign language classes, and volunteer services. The ideal combination of devoted parents, a supportive PTA, and talented and dedicated educational staff members gives students opportunities for success.

The mission at Cunningham Park Elementary School is to provide a safe learning environment. Collaboration among staff members and parents ensures that every student experiences success in all core subjects, the arts, physical fitness, and technology applications. We strive to create lifelong learners and regard every student as unique. Our character development program will enable students to develop respect for themselves and others and to become productive citizens.
